In the Spring of 2014, StonePark Capital identified and purchased a 2.6 acre undeveloped property in the city of Morgan Hill, CA. approximately 20 miles south of San Jose and “Silicon Valley”. Upon acquiring the land, the team embarked on a year-long process of getting the property entitled for a new 104 room “Del Sol” prototype developed by La Quinta Inns and Suites. The project broke ground in the summer of 2015 and was completed after an aggressive 12 month construction schedule. In 2017, this hotel was awarded as “Best New Construction” by La Quinta at their annual conference in Dallas, TX.
